How to Add an AI Agent to WordPress

Welcome to Kommunicate. In this video, we are going to show you how to add an AI agent to a WordPress site.

To begin, visit the Kommunicate website and click on Get Started or Try for Free. You will get a 30 day free trial with Kommunicate. Once inside, go to Agent Integrations on the left hand panel and then select Kompose. Here you will give your AI agent a name. For example, we will name this agent WordPress AI Agent. You can select how the agent should behave, professionally or casually, and also choose the length of the answers the AI agent should use. There are some predefined instructions already available. You can also delete them or use your own custom instructions. Click on Save and Continue.

Your AI agent has been created. Here you can update the welcome message. This is the message visitors will see when they arrive. For example, you can say "Hey, thank you for considering us as a healthcare provider." You can also change it to "Hi, welcome to our website. How may I help you?"

Now imagine you are an e-commerce company. You can change these buttons to options like Refunds or add a button for Shipment Tracking to track shipping IDs or refunds.

The Human Agent Handover option is used whenever the AI agent is unable to answer a query or when you want those queries handed over to a human agent. Here we are assigning it to a specific human agent. You can also assign it to a specific team. We are assigning it to David Smith and then clicking Train.

Moving on to the next section, Knowledge Source. This is where the AI agent will fetch its data from. You can train the AI agent on documents, website URLs and knowledge base help centers. Here we have prepared an FAQ for a blogging site with a few questions, and the AI agent will train on this documentation. In the same way, you can have your own FAQ and train the AI agent on frequently asked questions about your business or e-commerce store.

This is the WordPress blogging site where we will place the AI agent so that whenever a visitor arrives, they can get immediate assistance. We are now training the AI agent on the document. This will take a few seconds. The AI agent has now been trained on the document.

Next, let's test it. We ask a question picked directly from our FAQ documentation and the AI agent immediately starts providing answers. Users can give a thumbs up or thumbs down based on how helpful they found the response.

Now that the AI agent has been created, we need to integrate it with WordPress. Go to your WordPress account and on the left hand side click on Plugins. Under Plugins, click Add New Plugin and search for Kommunicate. You will find Kommunicate AI Agents and Live Chat. Click on it and then click Install and Activate. It will take a few seconds for the plugin to get activated.

Once activated, click on Settings. Here you will see that the integration is set up and ready to connect with your business. Next, update the App ID. To find the App ID, go back to the Kommunicate dashboard and click on Integrations. You will see the App ID there. Copy it, paste it into the settings field and click Save Changes.

Your AI agent is now fully integrated with your WordPress site. If you return to your WordPress website and refresh the page, the chat widget will appear immediately. Click on it and you can send a message. The WordPress AI Agent greets visitors and asks "Welcome to our website. How may I help you?" Visitors can click on buttons like refund links to track different requests, or simply ask questions and get instant answers from the AI agent.
