How to Set Up Slack Notifications for Customer Conversations

We are thrilled to introduce our latest feature: Slack integration.

To begin, log in to your Kommunicate dashboard. Then, navigate to the Integrations section.

Here, you will find the Slack integration. If it is not immediately visible, you can use the search function to find it.

Click Connect to Slack.

You will then be redirected to a different page. Carefully review all the requested permissions before clicking Allow.

Once the setup is complete, you will receive a confirmation that Slack has been successfully integrated.

Now, you can search for the Slack channel you want to integrate. You can also integrate more than one channel.

You can set up notifications to receive updates in Slack when:

A new conversation is created  

A conversation is resolved  

A conversation is handed over to a specific human agent  

Let’s enable all three notifications.

And just like that, you have successfully integrated Slack with Kommunicate.

Now, let’s test this out.

The first scenario is when a new conversation is created. As you can see, a notification is received in Slack.

You can click View Conversation to see the conversation in the Kommunicate dashboard.

The next scenario is when a conversation is handed over to a human agent.

A notification is received, indicating that the conversation has been handed over to a human agent.

The notification includes the assignee name, requester name, status, and a link to the conversation.

Clicking the link will take you to the conversation in the dashboard. You can also view the summary directly in the Slack notification.

Finally, let’s test the third scenario by resolving a conversation.

A notification is received when the conversation is resolved. It displays the status, date and time, and a link to the conversation.

And there you have it. That’s how the Slack integration works in Kommunicate.
